Liana Forest lights up the stage with dazzling virtuosity, sparkling humor and warm, charismatic stage presence. A world-class pianist and entertainer, she creates special connection with her audience as she elegantly weaves together beautiful music and captivating storytelling.
Born in Ukraine into a musical family, Liana began her studies at the age of five and made her debut at fourteen with the Odessa Philharmonic. Transplanted to California after accepting a full scholarship to study with the renowned professor Baller at Stanford University, Liana won First Prize in the International Chopin Competition in Palm Desert. She made her debut with Desert Symphony in California and performed as soloist with Saratoga Symphony, Palo Alto Philharmonic, Redwood Symphony and Russian Chamber Orchestra. A winner of the Artists International Competition she gave a sold-out Weil Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall Debut in New York, Steinway Recital Hall in London and Bosendorfer Recital Hall in Vienna.
Liana is the recipient of the prestigious Bosendorfer Piano Award. She has performed as soloist with Russian Chamber Orchestra, Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in Kuala Lumpur and with Thailand Philharmonic in Bangkok. She has entertained Princess Chulabhirn of Thailand, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko, and Princess Sofia of Rumania.
Liana has been frequent participant at international music festivals, including the White Nights Festival in St. Petersburg; Mid-Summer Mozart Festival in San Francisco; the Hennessy Artists Series at Hanoi Opera House in Vietnam and many others.
Liana has also performed for great causes including the benefits for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, Haiti Earthquake, Japan Tsunami, Chile Earthquake and Hurricane Sandy.
