     If a flute could talk and sing, it would certainly be in the voice of Nestor Torres. Equally fluent in jazz, classical and Latin idioms, Nestor’s total command of his instrument allows him a freedom of expression that is at once captivating and liberating, powerful and genuine. This Latin Grammy award winner has earned worldwide acclaim for his unique mix of Latin, jazz and pop music.  His solo career has taken him all over the world, and includes 14 CD’s to his name, multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations, and collaborations with Herbie Hancock, Dave Matthews, Kenny Loggins, Tito Puente and Gloria Estefan among others.

     Nestor has also performed as soloist with many symphony orchestras worldwide, and has received numerous awards and commendations, including two honorary doctorates for his commitment to youth, education and cultural exchanges.
